![]() I have tried slipstreaming the installation media with SP4 to see if that works. ![]() I have tried checking that ASP.NET 3.5 is installed - it is. I am just using the VMs as proof of concept. However, I also have a physical PC box currently running W7 Pro/SS2008 and it is this installation which will ultimately need upgrading. Virtualbox VM in my Mac, which is the same way I am running W7 Pro and SS2008. ![]() ![]() It installs SSMS so I can manage the remote server, but with no local database that I can use to back up to. My web server uses this version so I want to replicate its installation on my local machine to serve as backup - at the moment it runs happily (SS2008 Developer Edition) on W7 Pro, but I am consciousĮvery time I try to install it fails late in the install when it tries to access some registry keys which don't exist. I am trying to install SS2008 on W10 Preview without success. ![]()
